Business owners can spend lots of time and money focusing on website design, email writing, billboards, skywriting, etc.. But they often forget about the basics. And often these basics are completely free. So, we decided that we would give you a list of things that can drastically help your marketing efforts now:

  1. Google your business. Is your business there? Are your phone number and address correct? Is your website linked? Are your hours correct? What kind of pictures are displayed? If this info is incorrect, change it (change it by claiming your business on that page and using the google app Google My Business)
  2. If someone calls your business, do you have someone answering the phone? Do you have a voicemail set up?
  3. Is your business email address an @gmail or @yahoo (please don’t tell me it’s @aol). This screams amateur.
  4. Does your business have any reviews? Reviews are like digital currency for businesses. Ask your happiest customers to leave reviews (give them the direct link to leave a review).
